RICK (Roundtable Interview Conversation Kickstarter) adds a new dimension to focus groups and participatory exercises.
Jibunu worked directly with qualitative interviewers in the development of this tool. The result is a product that enables more in-depth focus group conversations and the sharing of opinions. With RICK, the moderator can focus on the exchange of ideas while the backroom easily monitors sentiments as they are expressed.
RICK’s combination of qualitative and quantitative methods with instantaneous reporting creates a way to capture opinions prior to discussions that could lead to biased responses. This three-part system provides tools to gain insight into the factors that persuade people and influence change. This technology also lends itself to focus groups where participants are not all in the same facility.
RICK works by presenting participants with quantitative questions; once all have answered, the moderator can display the results and facilitate a discussion. Data is also fed to the backroom in real time. Results can be displayed in a variety of formats including graphs, word clouds, heatmaps, among other options. RICK also helps administrators manage and display qualitative stimulus.
