Rick Kelly has spent most of his career in market research and technology. He has published and presented papers on innovative research methods at prestigious conferences such as AAPOR, PAPOR and the Marketing Research Association. Rick has an MS in Political Science from Utah State University and an MBA from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Stephen Phillips

Stephen Philips is the CEO of ZappiStore and Chairman of Tonic Insight. His passion is understanding consumer motivation and behaviour and using this insight to power brands. His recent focus is on using technology to make this happen faster, better and cheaper than ever before. 

He has lived in and worked across 4 continents and continues to focus on international research. His work on Consumer Purchase Journeys has won multiple awards and he is a regular speaker on this topic at industry events. He has also become a devotee of Behavioural Economics and his work on the impact this thinking has on market research won the ESOMAR Best Paper award in 2011. He has also won the ‘Best New Thinking’ award at the MRS Conference, is a recipient of both the ARF Great Minds certificate and the industries Innovation award. 

Stephen is a member of The Supper Club and prior to creating ZappiStore, he had been a Partner at Tuned In Research and served as the Chief Happiness Officer at Spring Research.

Matt Warta

GutCheck

Matt Warta is the co-founder and CEO at GutCheck. Over the past 15 years, Matt has been a mainstay in the entrepreneurial community, co-founding two companies and funding dozens of others. Prior to GutCheck, he was a general partner with Village Ventures, growing the firm's investments from $100M to $750M. Matt also spent several years with Koch Industries, leading several investments that either went public or were acquired. He lives in Denver with his wife Susie and their four kids.

Rebecca West

Global Vice President, Marketing Research Services

Civicom

Rebecca West is the Global Vice President of Marketing Research Services for Civicom.  Rebecca established and leads the Civicom Marketing Research practice. She is a member of the Civicom Board of Directors and a company investor. 
Rebecca is also the Past President of the Mobile Marketing Research Association (MMRA), a global forum developed to set industry standards for how to effectively use mobile technology, as well as to help companies understand and work with mobile tools.  She is a frequent writer and speaker on qualitative and mobile research.

Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Media Studies from the New School for Social Research in New York, as well as a certificate in Managing Professional Service Firms from Harvard Business School.

Leslie Albright

Vice President, Market Research

Leslie Albright is Vice President, Market Research for Confirmit.  Her primary responsibilities are to oversee Confirmit’s market research client relationships and sales in the Americas. 

Prior to joining Confirmit in January 2016, Leslie led Affinnova’s expansion into Europe, growing the mid-size MR company’s research practice from its inception.  There, she worked with large multi-national CPG clients such as Nestle, Procter & Gamble, and key tobacco companies.  After Nielsen’s acquisition of Affinnova in 2014, Leslie returned to the States to oversee the launch of Kantar’s TGI business in the US.  Following that launch, Leslie worked with GutCheck, a Colorado based agile market research provider to help them develop their go-to-market strategy and expansion into Europe.
 
Leslie is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and resides in New York City.
 

John McGarr

John is the President at Fresh Squeezed Ideas, an award-winning insight boutique based in Toronto with clients from Los Angeles to Tokyo and most points in between. Amassing rich and varied experience in sectors including food, beverage alcohol, beauty, and pharmaceuticals, John developed a sophisticated understanding of how important cultural context is to the success or failure of marketing and branding. He is driven by a conviction that marketers have the opportunity to help customers live the most meaningful lives ever lived. John brings over 15 years of marketing management and consulting experience from AC Nielsen, Kraft Foods, Chef Boyardee, Pillsbury, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, A.G. Hair Cosmetics, In-Sync before starting Fresh Squeezed Ideas. He recently wrote his first book, Reincarnation: The Death and Rebirth of Marketing, now available on Amazon for Kindle.

Pat Pellegrini, PhD

Pat Pellegrini is President & Chief Research Officer at Simmons Research. He is responsible for maintaining the highest data quality and research standards in the industry, and developing improved approaches to consumer insights measurement. Prior to joining Simmons, Pat was EVP, Media & Entertainment and Digital Market Intelligence at GfK Custom Research, VP, Content & Product Management at The Weather Network, and VP International Research at comScore. He holds a PhD in Geography from SUNY at Buffalo.
