Mondadori needed a reliable, up-to-date understanding of entertainment preferences among children, pre-teens, and teens, a segment notoriously hard to reach in research. The goal was to uncover how these young audiences engage with different formats (TV, streaming, social media, gaming, books), how they discover new content, and which genres, characters, and stories resonate most with them.
The stakes were high: decisions on editorial commissioning, content strategy, advertising inventory, and licensing deals all depended on accurate youth insights. Without them, Mondadori risked producing irrelevant content, losing audience engagement, and weakening both commercial partnerships and ad revenue.
SOLUTION
Glaut is an agentic research system - a vertical, end-to-end workflow automation platform built for customer research. At its core is an AI Moderation Agent that conducts one-on-one, open-ended interviews through voice. It asks, listens, and probes in real time, so each conversation adapts naturally to the participant. This replaces rigid forms with dynamic, human-like dialogue while preserving the scale and consistency researchers expect.
Surrounding the moderator, Glaut’s agents automate the full workflow: they handle brief intake, interview scripting, orchestration, live transcription, and data validation. Multiple layers of control - voice-signal analysis, real-time monitoring, consistency checks, and interpretative scoring - detect low-effort or fabricated responses as they happen. Copy-pasted answers are blocked by default, protecting data integrity before analysis even begins.
As interviews run, Glaut analyzes responses automatically. The platform performs multi-layer thematic coding (codes and sub-codes), clusters related ideas, and tags sentiment and intensity across datasets, keeping each code linked to the original verbatim for full auditability and human refinement. This means richer, structured insights delivered faster, without manual post-processing.
Because the system is agentic and cloud-native, researchers can launch studies quickly, monitor progress in real time, and adjust targeting or prompts mid-fieldwork without pausing collection. The same infrastructure supports multilingual interviews in 50+ languages, allowing teams to replicate research designs seamlessly across markets.

RESULT
Glaut successfully gathered responses from over 1,600 children aged 3–13, achieving an exceptional 96% completion rate, a clear sign of both high engagement and data reliability. This proves the platform’s ability to conduct AI-moderated interviews with children, overcoming the usual challenges of recruiting and keeping young participants engaged.
