Designology’s founding combination of design, innovation and insights under one roof became a unique incubator for Pivot, our proprietary consumer research platform. Pivot was originally created as a digital shopping environment with customizable virtual shelf and eCommerce environments where we could look at new product ideas in context, then recruit target consumers and watch how they shopped the category to uncover the strongest ideas and concepts.
But product testing was just the beginning. What we realized during initial testing was that the real magic was in Pivot’s ability to not just measure sales data, but to observe the consumer’s behavior as they shopped and then instantly leverage those data points in our post-shopping survey to create a dynamic, behaviorally-based survey. This survey is instantly customized to each individual shopper by the actions taken as they shopped the category, to get at the “why” behind key moments in their shopper journey and unlock deeper level human insights.
