Matt Mahan has been exclusively focused on insights and market research since graduating from MSU’s Marketing Research Program over 12 years ago. He’s spent considerable time on both the agency and the client-side of the industry, driving meaningful fact-finding engagements in CPG, health, automotive, finance, and several other sectors. Throughout his career, he’s developed an acute interest in the role technology plays in our lives, and how it has the potential to reshape the way we work and live. Matt has always taken on the lens of an anthropologist, drawing from his sincere passion to understand more about human behavior and our society as a whole. It is this perspective that continues to inspire his curiosity for what technology has in store for humanity. Matt brings 12 years of experience in consumer insights, having worked in agency and client-side roles. He’s worked in many sectors, including CPG, finance, health, automotive, and more. His focus includes longitudinal research, attitude and usage, habits and practices, as well as segmentation. He’s authored thought leadership pieces on research best practices, and his expertise in agile research focuses on supporting new product innovation. Throughout his career, he’s made extensive use of new technology frameworks to support research initiatives, including the Gartner Hype Cycle.
