The Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) has had such high response to its Young Professionals Grant (YPG) program that five additional grants will be awarded in 2014, for a total of 15 grants. The YPG program’s goal is to attract young qualitative research professionals to engage with its members and the association to strengthen the research community by offering enthusiastic young qualitative research professionals the opportunity to attend the association’s 2014 annual conference in New Orleans.
QRCA welcomes individuals who are 35 years or younger to apply for the YPG. To qualify, a researcher’s primary professional role must consist of designing, conducting and analyzing qualitative research — or the person must be in training to conduct these activities. Applicants must not currently work for an advertising agency, manufacturer or service firm outside the research industry.
“We are thrilled with the strong response we have had just in the first few weeks since the YPG program opened,” says QRCA President Kendall Nash. “QRCA is pleased to offer additional grants, and we thank our partners for supporting us in this effort.”
Additional information regarding qualifications for the grants can be found at www.qrca.org/ypg. The grants do not include travel or lodging expenses associated with attending the annual conference. Applicants need not be members of QRCA to qualify. The closing date for applications is August 14, 2014.
QRCA thanks Steve Schlesinger of Schlesinger Associates and Merrill Dubrow of M/A/R/C Research for their support for the Young Professional Grants.
