A leading web browser approached us to help shape a refreshed product positioning that would reflect its future vision. The challenge was to explore how different positioning ideas resonated with both users and non-users across four key markets: the US, UK, Germany, and France.
We took a human-centered approach, engaging directly with a mix of users and non-users through thought provoking conversations. We explored their daily experiences with online content, their core needs around trust and confidence, and their reactions to three distinct positioning territories crafted for the brand. The insight gathered helped us evaluate each positioning’s strengths and weaknesses, ensuring the brand could confidently select a territory that aligns with user expectations and future ambitions.
Our findings empowered the client to develop a positioning that not only supported its vision, but also resonated with users’ core needs, building confidence, reducing anxiety, and simplifying their digital journey. This strategic clarity set the stage for impactful messaging that drove acquisition and long-term growth across the US and Europe.
