Jess Vande Werken leads Digital Design Research and Strategy at Rivian, where she oversees research across all digital touchpoints, as well as the company's rapidly expanding retail footprint. She specializes in uncovering human needs and aspirations while aligning them with business goals in a fast-growth environment. Previously, Jess served as Creative Director and Head of Experience Strategy at R/GA, leading work for clients ranging from Girl Scouts to JPMorgan Chase. She honed her commitment to honest, human-centered design at Smart Design, and brings that foundation to every challenge—including understanding why customers make decisions that defy pure rationality.
