Better, cheaper, faster. As validated by the 2023 GRIT Insights Practice Report – quality, price, and speed continue to be top selection criteria buyers evaluate in their suppliers.

NewtonX recently ran a voice of customer and competitive benchmarking study which revealed data quality as the first or second important decision-making factor for enterprise organizations and consultancies conducting B2B research, with 30% to 39% saying “Finding the right professionals” was “Very Important.”

The 2023 GRIT Insights Practice Report also revealed an emerging trend: reputation beats relationship. As organizations rise from the pandemic and maneuver still-unpredictable markets, buyer-supplier relationship no longer holds as strong a place compared to supplier reputation. Customer loyalty is hard won.

Relationship fell from 50% to 37% (from 2019 to 2022) as a key factor in supplier selection—while reputation quietly increased from 42% to 43%. This demonstrates that buyers are increasingly willing to try new suppliers if existing partners can’t meet their needs.

Custom Recruiting: Building Reputation Through High Quality Data & Service

Our Custom Recruiting changes the game by upleveling reputation with seamless service and new research technology. Rather than pulling from closed panels, it scans open networks of billions of professionals across any industry imaginable. Powered by deep search technology, real-time databases, and filters tailored to business needs. If you can think of someone you want to talk to, you can use Custom Recruiting to find them. How does this impact data quality—and thus reputation?

Accuracy. Laser precision in targeting means you’re only reaching out to relevant professionals based on the exact specifications that match your business questions.

Scale. Multimillion dollar business decisions need statistically significant sample sizes – not 50, or even 500, but thousands. Finding thousands of respondents while meeting 20 different targeting quotas wasn’t previously possible — until automated, specialized searches entered the picture.

Quality. The automation fuels both the recruiting and verification processes. This yields samples that are 100% verified, with 0% fraud.

Custom Recruiting turns the traditional sample and fielding methodology on its head. Such powerful targeting abilities enable white glove service and deep expertise in custom research design. In order to thrive in the new tomorrow, research firms and buyers must look beyond cost and speed – and partner to ensure the best data wins.
