Cint Opens Hong Kong Office

Global panel marketplace platform provider Cint has opened an office in Hong Kong, appointing James Rogers as Regional Head of Supply Acquisition & APAC MD to lead the continued expansion of the business in Asia. This coincides with an office move in Japan to accommodate current expansion and facilitate future growth out of its Tokyo premises, which acts as a sales and operations hub for the region.

The former managing director for Toluna (APAC) has over 11 years’ experience in market research and online communities.  James began his career with Greenfield Online in 2004 before moving to Toluna a year later to co-found the UK office.

Richard Thornton, Chief Commercial Officer, said of the appointment: “James is a seasoned operator and someone I had the pleasure to work with briefly earlier on in our careers.  James brings a wealth of experience, industry relationships and know-how to our already talented team in Asia, but more importantly has bought into our vision and strategy around our platform play and our drive to continue to transform data collection with our technology suite. We are delighted he has agreed to join us.”

Cint Japan’s exponential growth in recent years is largely thanks to the increasing attention to efficiency of panel procurement process in the industry and its successful strategic partnerships with companies such as Marketing Applications, Intage Vietnam/Thailand and GMO.

James said: “Cint’s offering lends itself well to the significant change in the market research landscape across Asia, which is now focused on delivery efficiencies in the supply chain. Buyers and suppliers are behaving and collaborating with each other in a very different way, whilst quality and transparency of online sample and panel sourcing is paramount. There are also some interesting and exciting developments around improving access to local sample across Asia, which is driving innovation in the MR arena. It’s an exciting time to be in the industry and a challenge I’m really looking forward to add my experience to.”
