The Pert Group’s Award Winning Market Research Professionals

HARTFORD, CT – October 2014 -
It’s an exciting time to be a researcher in an industry with constant technological advancement, especially for the Pert Group’s Alexa Megna. The Pert Group, a research-based consulting firm, continues to provide its clients with innovative qualitative research. Recently, The Pert Group’s Qualitative Researcher, Alexa Megna, was awarded a Young Professional Grant (YPG) from the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA). Megna earned a free ride to the QRCA 2014 annual conference in New Orleans, October 15-17.

The QRCA is a not-for-profit association of researchers involved in the design and implementation of qualitative research. The YPG is designed to strengthen the engagement of young qualitative practitioners. “It was very difficult for the selection committee to make its final selection from the high caliber candidates,” said QRCA Board Secretary Monica Zinchiak.

The conference covered many innovative topics; such as selfies as a method of ethnographies and how to deal with problem participants. Along with the opportunity to learn about the latest trends, researches were given a unique chance to share with each other, “We shared everything from participant stories to best practices,” said Megna, “The experience was liberating and completely comforting.”
