A $99 Roku digital video player and Netflix account (which a lot of people already have) is all you need to watch a ton of free movies and TV shows, on your TV, without needing to take the extra (often difficult, sometimes impossible) step of connecting a PC to the TV. You can also rent or buy digital video through Amazon Video on Demand and watch live baseball games through MLB.com.
This seemed like a pretty good deal to us so we thought we’d give it a try and also see what a few “ordinary folks” had to say. That’s just what we do. People were impressed – but there were some issues (aren’t there always?).
