Matt Warta is the co-founder and CEO at GutCheck. Over the past 15 years, Matt has been a mainstay in the entrepreneurial community, co-founding two companies and funding dozens of others. Prior to GutCheck, he was a general partner with Village Ventures, growing the firm's investments from $100M to $750M. Matt also spent several years with Koch Industries, leading several investments that either went public or were acquired. He lives in Denver with his wife Susie and their four kids.

Derron Wrubel is a Consumer & Marketplace Insights Innovation Consultant with the Foods division of Nestle USA responsible for innovation strategy, opportunity area identification, idea, concept, new product and packaging development.
As a CMI representative on the Nestle USA Innovation Leadership Team, Derron most enjoys leading the exploration and implementation of new/ emerging research thinking and approaches to improve new product success and speed to market.
Derron's 20 years as a career market researcher includes agency and client-side, global and domestic, brand and innovation experience in CPG (for you and your pets), pharma, retail and media.
Derron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications/ Journalism from Seton Hall University.
