What I’m Looking Forward To About The Market Research Event

Lenny Murphy is excited about The Market Research Event next week! Here is what he is looking forward to in Nashville.

I am very much looking forward to being at The Market Research Event (TMRE) next week and sharing with you my take on what I learn, hear and think while there.

Here is what I expect to see in Nashville:

Networking: There’s never shortage of opportunity to meet and chat with folks at TMRE. It’s really nice for me because I can focus on talking to folks, understanding their points of view, and maybe even developing new collaborative relationships to help support the industry.

Thought leadership: TMRE has hundreds of speakers and tons of tracks; it’s a veritable cornucopia of content. It’s plenty of grist for the industry analyst mill for sure!

Hospitality: Being an event producer myself, I have an idea of what it takes to pull off an event. The venue, the production values, the food, and everything else that goes into making an event pleasurable for the attendees is first rate. IIR deserve kudos for delivering at the highest levels year after year. This year I’m particularly excited: the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville is a destination in and of itself  (this place is HUGE and very pleasant). Plus, I can drive to Nashville, which is a very nice change!

I am looking forward to TMRE even more than usual because earlier this month it looked like I would not be attending at all. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with our friends at IIR about my attendance and I sent a snarky and inaccurate tweet about the situation. It’s all been cleared up and I am now very happy to attend the biggest event of the season. Thanks to IIR Managing Director Kim Rivielle for taking the time out of her crazed schedule a few days before the conference to work through the confusion with me!

I hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it rest assured we’ll be posting coverage throughout the event.

If you’d like to meet while there, feel free to reach out to me: I’d love to connect! You can get me on twitter at @lennyism or text me at 6782327691

There is a Tweetup on Sunday if you get there early: http://tweetvite.com/event/TMRE13  and of course The Research Club event will be Monday night: http://www.theresearchclub.com/events/nashville/#register

Thanks again to the IIR team for continuing to embrace the spirit of collaboration; it will be great to be there and contribute in some way to the success of the event!
