St. Louis-based market research company Communications for Research, Inc. (CFR, cfrinc.net), which excels at helping researchers obtain optimal outcomes through pro-active research project management, today announced that founder and president Jim Steber will retire after 18 years and sell the business to his son Colson Steber and Curtis Burrow, both current executives at the company. Colson Steber and Burrow will assume the title of co-CEOs, while Jim Steber, who has been President of CFR since he founded the company in 1997, will join CFR's Board of Directors. Colson Steber and Burrow have been actively managing the company's day-to-day operations for over a year, and are expected to lead the company into continued growth.
"This sale represents a big step forward in securing the future of the company," said Colson Steber. "It fulfills our long-held vision to turn CFR into an employee-owned business with a culture that supports the community of people who work here."
"My father’s retirement is marked by 32 years of experience in the market research industry,” said Colson Steber. “The values that he built the business on of integrity, faith that people are good, and an insatiable desire to achieve our common goals are the foundation of what makes this business great."
