A poll from AP-GfK found that Americans believe torture is sometimes justified. The report also shared findings on Supreme Court nominees and the general perception of the direction of the country.
The answer is YES (well, sort of)!
According to a AP-GfK Poll conducted between May 28th-June 1, 2009, half of Americans believe torture is at least sometimes justified. In addition, twice as many Americans support Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court.
