The client needed a representative, high‑quality read on perceptions and usage of stock investment apps in Indonesia. They faced two key obstacles:
The stakes were high: without reliable, well‑segmented insight, the client risked making poor product, marketing, or targeting decisions and missing the opportunity to capitalise on Indonesia’s growing retail investing market and strong 2023 IPO momentum.
TGM Research conducted a Usage & Attitude (U&A) study among 100 respondents in Indonesia, providing localization, translation, data collection, and data processing services. The research design was tailored to accommodate different levels of financial knowledge while ensuring high-quality responses from the general population.
The project produced a comprehensive picture of perceptions and usage patterns for stock investment apps in Indonesia, identifying critical challenges and opportunities for product and marketing strategy. The findings enabled the client (and industry players) to define data‑driven next steps and better position themselves to harness the expanding retail investor segment.
