Founding Partner Social Lens Research

Julie Diaz-Asper is the founding partner of Social Lens Research (SLR), responsible for overall strategy and day-to-day operations. SLR helps companies to engage social media influencers in their product and marketing campaign development. SLR is powered by GigCoin, an influencer network with thousands of socially savvy content producers with deep knowledge of their speciality (e.g., educational bloggers, food bloggers, fitness, personal finance, green living). She has spent more than 20 years helping large organizations to innovate and pursue new market opportunities. As a strategy consultant at Booz Allen and Coopers & Lybrand, she focused on leveraging new technologies to create market opportunities for telecom and media companies. Later Julie worked at American Express for nearly ten years to innovate how to reach, service, and engage its commercial card customer base using new technologies. She worked with AARP on a financial literacy 2.0 site called LifeTuner that leverages community, interactive tools and social media to reach 20 and 30 year olds to help them better manage their finances. Her work for LifeTuner included managing a private community of target users to co-create the LifeTuner offering (from branding to features and functionality). She has managed a wide range of research projects including usability labs, online surveys, private community facilitation and focus groups. Julie‚Aos community activities include serving as Chief Researcher for Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) and on the board of the Organization of American States Art Museum of the Americas.
