Time To Get GRITty: Launch of the 2011 Spring/Summer Study!

It’s that time again folks; time for us to ask you to share your thoughts, experience, and knowledge with us for the good of the global market research industry as we attempt to understand where we are and where we might be going as an industry. in other words, it’s time for the GreenBook Research Industry Trends Study for Spring/Summer 2011!

After 9 years GRIT remains the leading and most comprehensive survey of our industry, and we believe that taking our own pulse has never been more important. As a sign of just how important this initiative has become to the market research industry, the American Marketing Association is joining us as Co-Producer of the study!

For this iteration we’ve scaled back; we’re tracking some of the trends in the industry that we have traditionally focused on, but are also focusing on the role of associations, events, and social networks in influencing decision making. In addition we are trying to understand the extent of the belief that the market research is changing, the sentiment around that belief, and the impact on your business. As a new part of the study, we’re partnering with Netbase to understand the social media conversations related to these topics and we expect some very interesting results comparing the survey data to the social media analysis!

In the Fall edition of the study we’ll be back to tracking technology adoption, methodology usage, perception of the industry, and of course the GRIT 50 Innovation ranking!

We are offering all who complete the survey a free copy of the GreenBook Marketing Research Directory (a $350 value), as well as a copy of the report when it is published in September. We promise you colorful and comprehensive insights into how research buyers and providers are adapting to the current economy, to emerging technologies, and to the winds of change many feel are buffeting our profession and industry.

We anticipate the survey taking less than 15 minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

In recent years more than 8,000 industry professionals downloaded this report, and the results have been cited at many events, in numerous industry journals and in academic publications. We’re excited to announce that for this phase of the study that the results will be part of the AMA Research and Strategy Summit in September!

Regardless of your role in the industry – client-side, supplier-side, academic – we hope that you will take a moment and participate in this year’s edition of this groundbreaking study!

We want to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the industry in collecting this important data, so your responses are vital! At the end of the survey we will ask for registration information so you can receive a complimentary copy of the GreenBook Directory as well as the report itself when it is published. Your information will not be shared or used for any other purpose.

We also want to extend a special thanks to all of our sponsors: The GreenBook Marketing Research Directory, Market Research Global Alliance, Next Gen Market Research, Decipher, iPinion, Netbase, Decooda, OdinText, Anderson Analytics, and Brand3Sixty.

If you have any questions or additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance for your participation!
