Mike Carlon is a UX Research leader, author, podcast host and sought-after speaker with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations better understand the people they serve. Currently serving as the Director of User Experience Research at Charter Communications, Mike has led research initiatives for major brands including JPMorgan Chase, American Express, Pepsi, and Unilever. A pioneer in online qualitative research dating back to the early days of digital marketing (new media back then), he's also the host of the popular podcast Uncorking a Story, where he has interviewed close to 500 bestselling authors, creatives, and thought leaders about storytelling, resilience, and the creative process. Mike is the author of nine novels, including The Waiting Room, and is known for blending research, storytelling, and human insight into engaging conversations that inspire audiences to think differently about connection, communication, and customer experience.
